The Ladle for Your Soul
There are days when the heaviness is invisible —
You’re doing all the “right” things,
and yet your spirit feels soaked in weight.
We don’t always realize it,
but we carry more than we’re meant to:
old fears, other people’s expectations, comparison, guilt, unspoken grief.
One morning, while cooking, I smiled holding a ladle —
a simple slotted one.
It drains away excess oil, excess water.
It knows what doesn’t need to stay.
And it got me thinking:
Where is the ladle for our hearts?
Who taught us how to release the excess fear,
the weight of overthinking,
the invisible competition,
the silent shame?
We were never meant to carry it all.
And yet we do —
until our smile gets dimmer,
our joy gets quieter,
and our shoulders sink, not from work, but from what’s not ours.
💫 A Gentle Thought:
You don’t have to drop everything.
Just begin with what’s excessive.
Scoop out the fear.
Drain the “not enough.”
Let go of the “why not me.”
And watch what remains.
Peace. Lightness.
You.
🌼 Reflective Question:
What are you still carrying… that was never yours to hold in the first place?
And what might happen if you ladled out just one heavy thought today?
✨ Loving Act:
If your soul whispered:
"You don’t have to do this alone" —
would you listen?

It’s not a program.
It’s a pause.
A place to drain, to smile, to feel light again.

And your heart deserves to breathe.
