🍃 The Day Heaven Touched Earth in a South Indian Van
by Brain Coach Sunny
We left Coimbatore at 5:30 AM—12 souls, one van, and hearts wide open.
From the youngest, my 11-year-old niece, to the eldest, my 75-year-old father, this wasn't just a trip—it was a moving temple of love.
We had 4 senior citizens, 3 curious teens, 2 college birds, my sister, my aunt, my parents, and me… carrying memories, laughter, and snacks.
The weather said "rain" but God whispered "sunshine where it matters."
At 8 AM, we stopped for breakfast:
Soft idlis that melted in the mouth, dosa that crunched just right, and that divine South Indian filter coffee that tasted like home.
Time slowed as we dipped into conversation and sambhar.
Lunch came Kerala-style:
Banana leaf, love in every bite, flavors of generations.
No fine dining compares to the richness of eating together with wrinkled smiles and noisy kids.
We reached Snehadheeram Beach, and later Chavakkad, where the sea kissed the sand just as gently as my father held my mother’s hand.
Waves rolled in, and something within me softened.
The world disappeared for a while—no roles, no goals—just souls.
"In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks." – John Muir
Watching the sea, I realized:
I’m not chasing success anymore.
I’m chasing moments like this—where time bows to presence.
At that moment, I felt the Divine in the ordinary:
In my sister adjusting Amma’s saree…
In Appa making sure everyone had water…
In the banana chips we passed around like prasadam…
This was not a picnic. It was a pilgrimage of the heart.
💭 A Gentle Reflection for You, My Dear Reader:
When was the last time you sat next to someone you love and just… breathed together?
No phone. No rush. No proving. Just being?
If your soul is whispering for pause, listen.
Plan that trip. Hug tighter. Call someone. Write that letter.
Because one day, the van may be full… and the next, there might be one seat empty.
💌 If this touched you, forward it to someone you love.
Tell them you’re grateful they’re in your life.
Life is not promised. But love always is—when you show up for it.
With folded hands,
Sunny
